Westbridge Academy students participating in mock elections on Election Day 2024, and learning about civics and elections.

On Monday, November 4th, after classroom lessons and activities were held with our students to understand the history, mechanics, and current events surrounding the elections, Westbridge students participated in a mock presidential election. A mock election teaches students about civic responsibility, the importance of staying informed, and the impact each vote can have in a democracy. Through this activity, students learned about citizenship, government, the electoral process, mechanics of voting, from registering and making informed choices to casting their votes and understanding the electoral outcomes.

WESTBRIDGE ACADEMY is a New Jersey State Approved Private Special Education School in Bloomfield, NJ for students with emotional, behavioral and learning challenges in grades K-12.
