About
Good communication between home and school is important to keep educators and other professional staff in touch with students’ educational needs and success. In fact, the latest National Education Goals encourage schools to increase their efforts to involve parents in their children’s education. The goal of this workshop is to help you initiate constructive and consistent communication with parents and guardians to foster an ongoing beneficial parent-teacher relationship. Discussion of a variety of activities and approaches will assist you in working with parents on such issues as dealing with discipline, how best to work hand-in-hand with school faculty, and how to motivate their child to meet the challenges of today’s world. We want you to be able to comfortably assure parents that their child is getting every opportunity to be confident and successful in their academic abilities, and is having their social and emotional needs met.
Our Presenter
