Immersive, hands-on experiences inspire our students to connect learning with real-world applications. One of the most anticipated events that embodies this approach is our annual Car Show, held in the spring.
This year we are further developing our curriculum to include an enhanced selection of electives designed to engage students in activities they find personally interesting and rewarding.
A group of students and teacher Griffin Charyn are producing a monthly podcast of coming happenings around the school and publishing it for the Westbridge community. Students write the news, read the news, edit audio tracks and music, and produce the entire podcast, from start to finish.
This year is Westbridge Academy's Golden Anniversary, celebrating 50 years of providing high quality educational and therapeutic services to thousands of students for whom we went the "extra mile." Moments like this give us the opportunity to reflect, and ask, what happens in that extra mile?
Event day photo gallery. WBA's extended school year theme related to the Culinary Arts and culminated in our First WBA Food Truck Race. Staff created cross curricular plans to ensure all content areas were covered. Students attending ESY were surveyed during the school year as to what foods they would like to make for their food truck.
Already a leader, Jayden is regularly in the running for Student of the Week and Student of the Month - distinctions he has earned several times this year. Jayden has been developing positive relationships with his classmates throughout the school year.
The Westbridge Academy Student Passport includes five sections that provide a comprehensive assessment of the student’s progress and emotional make-up.
ESY at Westbridge is about more than preventing regression and battling academic learning loss. Students need to maintain critical behavioral, social, and mental health gains as well.
