Westbridge Academy knows the vital importance of home/school partnerships.
Our “Bridges to Home” events offer fun structured activities for students and their families, designed to deepen connections and build positive relationships. In the past, our “Pastabilities” and Halloween Pumpkin nights have drawn families out. In spite of the need for social distancing and remote instruction, this year was no different. The clinical team, under the leadership of Adriana Perrotta, Supervisor of Pupil Personnel Services, organized the school’s very first virtual “Bridges to Home” event: A Valentine’s Scavenger Hunt.
Teamwork makes the dream work!

Using the Zoom platform, parents, grandparents, students, siblings, and staff collaborated on an interactive scavenger hunt. Each family had to work as a team, searching for random items in their house under the pressure of a limited timeframe. The night came to a close with a guessing game and prizes.
“These events let us connect with families and staff in a fun, playful way, deepening the bonds we already have. Seeing the smiles on the faces of our students was priceless,” concluded Ms. Perrotta.
